Thank you! (and here we go again…)

Thank you for supporting me in the 2009 Ride to Conquer Cancer!

It was an amazing, inspiring event. 1742 riders were able to raise $6.9 million dollars. We rode nearly 200km south from Calgary, through Longview and ended up at Lundbreck (not far from Pincher Creek).

The ride was hard, but knowing that I had your support made it easy to push through the pain and get'er done.

Thanks again. I know that thanks to your support, we were able to make a significant contribution to the battle against cancer!

And, now I'm doing the ride in 2010 as well. Hopefully we can raise even more money to support the Alberta Cancer Foundation!

Coooold training ride
I went for a training ride on the weekend, heading out to Big Hill Springs and back. There was some weather predicted for the evening and overnight. It came early...

Winter riding
I'd ridden all winter on studded tires. I swapped them off the bike this weekend, figuring it was time - with over 98% of my commute being clear and dry pavement. It felt _really_ good to get back into higher gears (I stayed in the middle ring with the studded tires on, because they feel squirrely at high speed). Looking forward to spring, and some longer non-commuting rides...
