In loving memory of Maria Jurisicova

Thank you for your generous support in 2008. The inaugural Ride to Conquer Cancer was a great success; 2,850 riders raised over $14 million to support outstanding care and cutting edge research at Princess Margaret and Ontario Cancer Institute.


The Ride to Conquer Cancer is a cycling journey from Toronto to Niagara Falls - a distance of over 200 km. The funds raised will support breakthrough research, exemplary teaching, and compassionate care at Princess Margaret Hospital, Canada’s leading cancer research hospital.


There are many ways how to sponsor cancer research - you can sign up your idle computer power on the World Community Grid (http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org) and support "Help Conquer Cancer" or "Help Fight Childhood Cancer" project. Donate the time your computer is turned on, but is idle, to these or other projects that benefit humanity.

My participation in this year's Ride will be in loving memory of my only aunt Maria, who lost her battle with stomach cancer on May 15, 2009. Sadly, I have lost 3 family members to cancer; in June 2007, September 2008 and May 2009. As in the World Community Grid we need large and broad participation to solve complex challenges with your help we will be much closer to conquer cancer.
