Support My Ride to Conquer Cancer™
Welcome to my Personal Page! The Ride to Conquer Cancer benefiting The Princess Margaret, is a cycling journey from Toronto to Niagara Falls - a distance of over 200 km - that I’m embarking on to fight cancer. It will be a challenge in a number of ways, but with my bike, my helmet, and your generosity, a real impact will be made!
I'm doing this in memory of my mother, Bev; whom curagiously battled cancer for over 15 yrs!!, it started in the breast at age 39, then a bone tumour, then lung cancer, and then ultimately in the liver. She passed away 08/08/08. I never took an active part in fundraising for cancer research up until now, and i'm jumping right into a 200+km trek on my road bike!!, but thats a small sacrifice to make if i can surpass my goal of $4500 raised in the fight against cancer...
After going through this horrible time with my family, there is NO NEED for anyone, to ever have to see a loved one under those circumstances
My heart goes out to those that have lost a loved one to cancer, to those that are suffering currently, and to those unfortunate ones that will be touched by this disease in the future. Maybe together we can make a small impact against in the fight against cancer
