More than anyone, Val (and her doctors at Princess Margaret) wanted her to beat Leukemia. Our dear friend passed away on December 22, 2008 after a year-long battle. She never reached remission.
She will always be remembered as a vibrant, loving, corageous and caring person. Next to wanting to conquer cancer herself, she hoped that her journey might help others to survive.
This year I am raising much needed funds and riding over 200 kms to Niagra Falls. Every moment, I will be thinking of her.
Please donate generously, to help conquer cancer for other courageous people with this disease. Your pledge will support breakthrough research, exemplary teaching, and compassionate care at the Princess Margaret Hospital, one of the top 5 cancer research hospitals in the world.
