AN EPIC RIDE TO CONQUER CANCER

Support My Ride to Conquer Cancer™

The Ride to Conquer Cancer is a cycling journey from Toronto to Niagara Falls in June 2010. Many cyclists participate for a number of reasons, some are survivors, some cycle in support, and some cycle in memory of those who have passed on.

What makes this event unique is that funds raised go to the Princess Margaret Hospital. This hospital is one of the top 5 cancer research hospitals in the world. Funds raised in The Ride to Conquer Cancer will support breakthrough research, exemplary teaching, and compassionate care at The Princess Margaret.

Many Sudburians have traveled to this hospital for treatment and have benefited from the ground breaking research that was a direct result of fund raising events like this .

This will be a significant challenge but with my bike, helmet and your financial support we can all get closer to the finish line.

Those who wish to have names written on my jersey in memory of a family member are welcome to do so. I realize that this is not one person's race. This is everyone's journey to a cure.

Morning weather has been great for training the past few weeks. With only a few weeks to go before the event, I really want to thank those who have been so gracious with their donations.
I continue to be amazed by everyone's generosity.

Back on the road...
Well, the great weather has allowed me to ride back and forth to work lately, getting about 30 kms of training in 3 to 4 days a week.
I hope the weather stays with us. Now to that fundraising.

Indoor Training Continues...
I've been doing training rides in my garage this winter (on a training stand).
However with the spring-like weather of late, it won't be long before I take it back on the road.
If you want to join me for a weekend ride, just let me know.
