Firstly I want to thank you for your interest in this amazing event. As you may know, I've taken the leap and have registered for the 2012 Ride to Conquer Cancer, taking place June 9 - 10th.
 
I will cycle 200 miles, over 2 days, from Toronto to Niagara Falls with the objective of raising $2,500 for cancer research. All proceeds are going to the Princess Margaret Hospital, one of the top 5 cancer research hospitals in the world, and the largest institution devoted to cancer research in Canada.
 
In Canada, 2 out of 5 will get cancer in their lifetime and this disease has surely affected every single one of us. My experience has been no different, my family has had a long history of cancer and most recently a successful battle against this disease just 10 years ago.
 
As a member of the Bauer Zimmering Pacesetters Team, I will be racing alongside 70 team members all driven by the same goal - to help beat cancer in our lifetime. The Ride raised over $16 million dollars in 2010, while the Bauer Zimmering Team was the #1 fundraising team and raised $469,817! This year we hope to shatter this amount!
 
I begin this challenge by asking friends and family to sponsor my ride and help raise money to beat cancer in our lifetime!
