I did it!!!
Who knew that I would be doing this a second time? My first Ride to Conquer Cancer journey last June was such an amazing experience that I had to do it again!
As you may know, my father, Brian Bools, lost his battle with pancreatic cancer in September, 2010. Since learning of my Dad's diagnosis, I've felt helpless in my ability to fight this terrible disease that affects so many of us. Just like you, I also have several other family and friends that have had to confront and struggle with cancer. That is why I am excited to particpate in a cause so close to my heart. Through this event, I can help prevent other families from having to struggle with this disease.
The Enbridge Ride to Conquer Cancer benefiting The Princess Margaret is a two-day cycling journey from Toronto to Niagara Falls that I am embarking on to fight cancer. It will be a challenge in a number of ways but with my bike, my helmet, and your generosity, a real impact will be made!
Contribute to this history-making event with a donation. Funds raised in The Ride to Conquer Cancer will support breakthrough research, exemplary teaching, and compassionate care at The Princess Margaret, one of the top 5 cancer research centres in the world.
I was blown-away and so encouraged by the support that I received for the 2011 ride. I am asking once again for your financial support. To be able to participate in the ride, I must raise a minimum of $2500 and I am really hoping that you will help get me there, or better yet surpass it. It is hard asking my family and friends for money but this cause and this event are very important to me.
It's a simple process to donate to me online at conquercancer.ca. You'll also find a printable donation form on my webpage, if you'd prefer that. Thank you for your support of my participation in The Ride to Conquer Cancer.
