Support My Enbridge Ride to Conquer Cancer?
Welcome to My Page!
The Enbridge Ride to Conquer Cancer benefiting The Princess Margaret, is a cycling journey from Toronto to Niagara Falls that I'm embarking on to fight cancer. It will be a challenge in a number of ways, but with my bike, my helmet, and your generosity, a real impact will be made!
Contribute to this history-making event with a donation. Funds raised in The Ride to Conquer Cancer will support breakthrough research, exemplary teaching, and compassionate care at The Princess Margaret, one of the top 5 cancer research centres in the world.
Now that I have completed the 1st year, I can't wait the get going on year 2.
What an awesome experience! From the people at the side of the road cheering us on, to the unbelievable volunteers who's continuos encouragement kept us going, to the survivors and their never ending spirit, it was an experience i will cherish the rest of my life.
The best part was being able to complete the Ride with my daughter and my sister side by side.
Why am i riding? The answer is in the 3 statements below.
I am riding for those in my past who I could not help!
I am riding for those in my present that I can help!
I am riding for those in my future so they will not have to deal with this in their lifetime!
Help me end the fight now before it affects someone you love and care about!!

Rode Tuesday and Thursday night last week - over 20K each night.
Saturday played 18 holes of golf in the morning then went out for 45K ride around 3:30 through Hamilton downtown by Dundurn Castle along York and Plains Road to Brant Street in Burlington then along the beach to Woodward and Nash to Home. Just over 2 hours.
Gong to try to ride the two nights and then on the weekend until the ride - weather permitting.

I think I am ready!! LOL
On Easter Saturday, rode Hamilton to Beamsville - 34K in about 1 1/2 hours.
Really looking forward to the challenge and being able to give my support to all those affected by this disease.
Best part will be riding with my daughter and my sister. My sister and I have always had a kind of special secret bond and adding my daughter into the mix will make it all just an awesome two day experience.

I am getting ready for the Ride.
Spent an hour on the spin bike last night with a Spinervals Dvd then did 20K today on the road bike. Great day for riding in Hamilton.
Since I am currently at $2,394 I raised my goal from $2,500 to $3,000. With 90 days to go, that is less than $10 a day. Help me reach my extended goal.

Epic Impact Day was a great success, both for me and the Plungerheads.
My challenge was to get to the $2,000 level which I did and Team Noble wanted to raise $10K and actually raised $16.4K.
Way to go team!!!!

Yesterday was World Cancer Day and this year's theme is "Together it is possible."
Every year cancer takes the lives of over seven million people worldwide, and World Cancer Day is designed to draw attention to the profound and universal impact of the disease.
The Canadian Cancer Society says last year about 177,800 Canadians were diagnosed with cancer and 75,000 died from the disease.
The Canadian Cancer Society says about half of all cancers can be prevented through healthy living
