Continue to Support Gerald's Ride to Conquer Cancer®
Welcome to my Personal Page! The Ride to Conquer Cancer benefiting BC Cancer Foundation, was a two-day 262 kms cycling marathon, from Vancouver to Seattle that I completed to help continue to fight cancer.
I discovered The Ride to Conquer Cancer in September just as I was diagnosed with Prostate Cancer and I registered for The Ride immediately. The black and yellow bracelet that I have worn every day since has provided me with the inspiration and desire to survive.
Like my personal battle with cancer the Ride was a challenge, but with my continued desire and will to battle cancer and with my bike, my helmet and 1,700 fellow riders and participants in the Ride I hope I made an impact (and not just on my saddle sores). Many of my relatives, friends and business associates have generously contributed to my sponsorship and as of June 23, 2009 I have raised $5,300. Your contribution will help to make a real impact as well. I hope my finishing the Ride has done any contributions you made proud.
It is still not too late, so please contribute to this history-making event and to my Ride efforts in particular with a donation. Funds raised in The Ride to Conquer Cancer will support breakthrough research, exemplary teaching, and compassionate care made possible through BC Cancer Foundation, a leader in cancer research and care.
