1700 of us raised $6.9 million!
Thank you so much for helping us over-achieve! The ride was an awesome experience that brought all of us to tears a number of times.
We knew it was going to be a challenge meeting our fund-raising goals but with your help we blew past that challenge and as a team raised over $23,000!
A very well organized event.
Thanks everyone.

We just finished a 136k ride that had us on our saddles for over 6 hours! Ouch.
We started from Fort Langley and rode into Mission, Chilliwack, & Abbotsford. The ride surprised all of us with the amounts of hills that we all had to endure.
Great training and it was the first day we rode with our custom new jerseys.

This weekend we rode 110km. It is going to be interesting to get close to 2000 riders across the border on race day cause it took the 5 of us about 30 minutes this Saturday.
On the way back it took less than 10 seconds. Canadian efficiency at work! ;)
Our ride began in Newton and we rode into Whiterock through the Peace Arch border and into Blaine, along Birch Bay, over to Ferndale and then back up across the border.
A great ride and the legs feel pretty good too.

We did a team ride on Saturday that really showed us all what we are in for. It was a total of 80Km and took us around UBC, along SW Marine, through Richmond and into Steveston Village for a coffee and then back.
A good ride.

Saturday AM I left downtown and rode over to Park Royal to meet some fellow riders. From Park Royal we rode Marine Drive to Whytecliff Park.
On the return we jumped onto the highway at Horseshoe Bay and rode to the Cyprus Mtn. entrance and rode up Cyprus to the 2nd lookout point. Cyprus itself was 9km uphill and kicked all of our butts. An awesome ride that found us sipping coffees only 2 hours later.

Dare I write that Spring is here? Well, it sure was on the weekend. Saturdays ride presented us with sunny blue skies. Not that we got to see those clear skies as we raced 6 times around 5km loops of Stanley Park.
This was a timed 30km 'hammer-fest' which put all of us begging for air at the end. Sure feels good to finish a workout of that caliber by just after 10am.
The legs are feeling better as the training is showing some benefits.
Almost 1/2 way in my fundraising efforts.
Thanks everyone!

Woke up early to do a quick run of the Falsecreek loop. Its a great run around the Expo ball, along the new Olympic Village and over Granville Bridge. Probably about 8km.
Anyone who hasn't checked out the new Olympic Village boardwalk do so now. Its open and beautiful!

Put in some good miles on the weekend. Rode out to Whitecliff Park with the North Shore Athletics Tri group on Saturday morning. It's always a good ride with this group and always ends in some much needed coffee. Not sure if I need the caffeine or the warmth of the coffee more.
On Sunday Brad (fellow team member) and I rode out to Richmond, around Steveston and finally back to Commercial. It was a good 3+ hour ride and probably just under 60km.
Miles are getting up there but will have to keep ramping them up for the big day. Lots of time left though.

Well, I put in 2 rides last week. One was an indoor 1.5 hour spin that really put me on my ass. It was harder than I thought a spin class was going to be.
On Saturday at the early hour of 7:30am I rode along Marine Dr in W.V to Gleneagles, made a hard right and hit some Tour de France type hills which were so steep I almost had to jump out of my cleats. Being a sucker for pain I then turned my steering wheel to Cyprus Mtn to attack the long steady hill climb up to the 1st viewpoint.
Needless to say, I barely made it back.
