Support My Ride to Conquer Cancer®
My name is Joseph Calderone and together with my girlfriend, Karen, I am riding in support of Colon Cancer research and in honour of my friend, Dave Chute, who at the age of 46 passed away from this dreaded disease on April 15th, 2009.
This will be my second year riding as part of the Walkers on Bikes team, which was originally formed by Chad Cieslik and made up of Weekend to End Breast Cancer walkers.
I am captain of the 2010 team in lieu of Chad who has walked in every WEBC event since its inception but is taking a year off to battle lung cancer.
I will be riding in all four RTCC events in Canada - Ontario, Alberta, BC and Quebec - in Chad’s honour, as well as Dave’s. I look forward to riding with Chad again in 2011.
