Riding 250km alone is a challenge... trying to fight cancer alone is impossible. Our Team is nothing more than a strong willed group of friends furious at what is happening to our childhood friend, what has happened to our fathers, our mothers, siblings, partners, god forbid our children...
Enough.
We are riding for all of you and all of us... even in our small Team, likely three of us will be killed by cancer before our time is up. Read the names, think about it. That is just wrong. We refuse to be beaten by this plague. Join us... and help us save and care for our innocent.
Team Little-Kosick honours two great warriors in life: Dick Kosick, the father of our rider Nick Kosick, who was struck down from impeccable health by non-smoking related lung cancer and our very close childhood friend, Leon Little: a champion of life, hospitalized and imobilized with brain cancer while we ride for him.
Dad, Leon... your bravery humbles us, we ride for you...
added November 25, 2011: Leon lost his battle with brain cancer this morning, a day of blue sky and sunshine after a week-long storm.
