Welcome to My Personal Page
My name is Alex Peterson and I am 27 years old. Over the years, I have learned through adversity that without ambition, dreams or goals will never be more than ideas and thoughts. I believe that with the right amount of motivation and direction, any dream or goal can become a reality.
For so many reasons I can explain why I joined this team or whom I am specifically doing this ride for, but in the end, it’s for one reason—I want to make a difference for those who cannot.
In my opinion, The Ride to Conquer Cancer represents so much more than just a fundraising event.
It’s an occasion, once a year that gives hope to the many people who continue to endure and battle the relentless pains of chemotherapy and other medicines; from the minute they wake up, to the minute they go to bed.
It’s an opportunity for like-minded individuals from around the world to come together and honour their friends, family and co-workers that have paid the ultimate price—their lives.
It’s a place where regardless of your skill, ability or knowledge, you can raise awareness and deliver on the promise of progress.
I have been supportive of team ‘To The Max' for many years and am very proud to see how far this team has come. This will be my second time cycling to Seattle, and I am privileged to be part of a team who now stands 100+ riders strong.
Specifically, I will be riding along side my brother Andrew Peterson in honour of our grandfather who we lost in 2011 to a long battle with prostate cancer.
Please help me reach my goal of raising $2500 and thank you so much for your support. One day, we will live in a prosperous world where cancer doesn’t exist.
