Welcome to my Ride page! My personal story about cancer:
I have signed up for the Ride to Conquer Cancer event. My father Joe Ethier battled cancer twice in his life and thanks to research the cancer society does and the doctors that perform the treatments my dad was around for many years in good health. I am forever grateful for that extra time with him thanks to the treatment he received, twice. That's right, my dad beat cancer two times! Cancer also affected my wife Michelle. Her father wasn't as fortunate as mine and we lost Leo to this awful disease in late 2014. I think about him everday.
The best would be to find a cure however treatment is also a way to beat it and extend someone’s time on earth. It is through these events that this research and treatment can continue. Help me support the cause.
The Ride to Conquer Cancer benefiting the Alberta Cancer Foundation is a transformational cycling journey, spanning over two days and 200 kilometres. In August 2018, I'll be taking on the majestic Canadian Rockies in solidarity and promise to show that cancer is no match against our conviction to conquer it.
Funds raised through The Ride will support breakthrough research, exemplary teaching, and compassionate care at the Alberta Cancer Foundation, a leader in cancer research and treatment.
I've already got my bike and helmet, but to guarantee my Ride success, I need your help today!
