Support My Ride to Conquer Cancer

Welcome to my Personal Page! The Enbridge Ride to Conquer Cancer benefiting the Alberta Cancer Foundation is a cycling journey along the majestic Canadian Rockies, that I'm embarking on to fight cancer. It will be a challenge in a number of ways, but with my bike, my helmet, and your generosity, a real impact will be made!

I am proud to ride in support of my Dad who is currently fighting an aggressive form of prostate cancer. He is such an inspiration with his never-ending will to be as active as possible, enjoying the great outdoors even while still recovering from prostate surgery. His determination to conquer this disease is steadfast and requires an open mind to lifestyle changes and naturopathic therapies. I am not only proud to ride in support of my Dad, but to ride along side of my Dad in The Enbridge Ride to Conquer Cancer. I am proud to be a part of our team -  The Rocky Mountain Folks with Spokes.

Contribute to this history-making event with a donation. Funds raised in The Enbridge Ride to Conquer Cancer will support breakthrough research, exemplary teaching, and compassionate care at the Alberta Cancer Foundation, a leader in cancer research and treatment.

Thank you in advance for your help.

Trail map on phone
How handy to have the trail systems of Calgary on my cell phone. No need for cumbersome paper maps.

Awesome Surprise!
Yesterday, Dad called. He had been to Bentley Cycle upgrading the shifting system on his recumbent bike. I am happy to hear that the changes he made make a world of difference in the performance of his bike.
Then he told me that he took a cool, urban style bike on a demo ride. He said that it would suit my needs perfectly. I expected him to suggest that I take a look at it when I am ready to consider upgrading from my current clunky, heavy mountain bike. Instead, he told me that he bought it for me!
I can't wait to go visit on Monday and to see and ride it! I'm sure it will be perfect for the Ride to Conquer Cancer!

Moving Day
I am now back in Calgary.
Dad helped me move. All of my things, have made it safely and efficiently.
He brought his recumbent bike along so that we could travel the Calgary trails once we had finished and that's exactly what we did.
I now live conveniently close to the pathways and can easily make it a daily habit!
